HEAT TRANSFER FLUIDS
Heat transfer oils are used to transfer heat prepared for use in closed or open heat transfer systems with operating temperature up to 400 ° C.
At high temperatures, the evaporation pressure of the oil is lower than the atmospheric pressure. It is appropriate to use the pipe system suitable for high pressure during the transfer of the heat transfer oil. The thermal stability of the heat transfer oil is very important. The point where many brands compete and try to develop is the subject of thermal stability.
How to use heat transfer oil?
• Circulation must be started before heating so that the oil film temperature does not exceed the degree specified in the technical document of the product and circulation should be continued for at least two hours even after the heating has ended.
• The flow pattern of the oil must always be turbulent and the flow rate is 2.5-3 m / sec. should be around.
• The heater should contain refractory material.
• In case of oil pump failure, the system must be alarmed and if possible the backup pump must be switched on automatically or manually activated.
• The flame must never be contacted directly with the heater pipe. In such cases, thermal cracking may occur due to regional sudden temperature heights.
• There must be an expansion tank at the top of the system and the temperature in this expansion tank should not exceed 60 ° C.
• Sufficient ventilation valves should be provided to dislodge air and water vapor trapped in the system during initial warm-up.
• The first heating up to 110 ° C should be made very slow and the water vapor and air should be expelled from the system using the ventilation valves.
• Pressure gauges and temperature gauges should be placed at critical points of the system and the system should be kept under constant control.

It can be used in all sectors in accordance with the desired conditions in all closed and open systems where heat transfer or transfer is desired. Hydrocarbon processing, CSP is widely used in solar power plants and biomass power plants, petrochemical industry, chemical industry, pharmaceutical production, and textile sectors.
