Superior rust and corrosion protection that provides extra protection to engine parts that may be susceptible to excessive rust when an airplane is not used.

AeroShell Oil W100 Plus and W 80 Plus - Premium Single Class Aviation Oils. Single Grade Ashless Dispenser Engine Oils: AeroShell Oil W100 Plus and W 80 Plus are new single grade oils that combine proven AeroShell ashless dispersant technology with advanced anti-wear additives. They are oils for pilots who want a single class that provides extra protection and performance. AeroShell Oil W 100 Plus and W 80 Plus combine the best of two of the world's best selling four-stroke aviation oils.

They have the only grade, ashless dispersant performance found in AeroShell W 100 and W 80 and antiwear / corrosion additives of AeroShell Oil W 15W 50 Multigrade. One-class heritage means outstanding resistance to heat, especially in the summer. Ashless dispersant formulations help reduce harmful metallic ash deposits in combustion chambers. And advanced additives work against rust, corrosion, and wear like no other grade can. No better one-grade aviation oils

    Continental recommendation

    FAA Airworthiness Directive 80-04-03

AeroShell Oil W100 Plus and W80 Plus are single grade oils blended with this anti-wear additive technology. This means that Lycoming model engine owners listed in the current service bulletin do not need to add any supplementary additives to the oil.

AeroShell Oil W100 Plus and W80 Plus can be used in any certified engine, these include: Lycoming; Continent; Pratt & amp; Whitney radial and most radical, opposite or in-line engines.

AeroShell Oill W100 Plus and W80 Plus are not recommended for use in helicopters with a common crankcase for engine and transmission. Anti-wear additives make the oil more slippery than normal single grades. This can cause the transmission to slip. For the same reason, the product is not recommended for a new engine to start up.

    Benefits

Superior rust and corrosion protection that provides extra protection to engine parts that may be susceptible to excessive rust when not using an airplane (please use AeroShell Fluid 2F for extended periods of non-use).

Improved anti-wear properties, especially when starting the engine, and eliminate the need for additional additives required by certain Lycoming engines. AeroShell Oil W100 Plus and W80 Plus already contain Lycoming additive LW 16702 in the correct proportions and meet the Lycoming requirements as well as the US Federal Aviation Association Airworthiness Directive 80-04-03.

Encourages Engine Cleanliness. The ash-free polymeric additive has been developed to help eliminate harmful combustion chamber and spark plug deposits that occur during normal operation.

The High Viscosity Index Base Oils used in AeroShell W oils preserve their viscosity and help protect engine components more effectively under the high shear stresses an engine places on the oils.

It provides compatibility with other approved aircraft piston engine oils. However, mixing with other products will result in some loss of superior performance characteristics of AeroShell Oil W100 Plus and W80 Plus.
