ROCOL DRY MOLY Spray is a dry film coating of molybdenum disulphide in aerosol form for sliding mechanisms where wet lubricants are unsuitable.
Features:
- Wide temperature range from -50°C to +450°C
- Dry film resists pick-up of contaminants such as dust and debris
- Resists pick-up and galling at high load; excellent wear resistance
- Aids disassembly of components
Applications:
- Plain bearings, slides, pins, cams and chains
- Fretting resistance on splines and keyways
- Assembly of interference-fitted components; anti-seize and assembly lubrication
- Running-in of gear contacts
Typical Properties:
- Appearance: Thin blue-black film
- Binder: Silicone resin; propellant: LPG (hydrocarbon)
- Touch dry: 2–3 minutes; full cure: approx. 3 hours at 20°C
