3M EC-1252 is a one-part, fast-drying anti-tamper sealer applied over adjustable or removable parts to indicate changes in position; a break in the seal indicates tampering or movement. It is commonly used in the aircraft industry to indicate sabotage, tampering, alteration or vibration loosening. EC-1252 is labelled, packaged, tested and certified for aircraft and aerospace applications.

- Dries tack-free in 20 seconds (3 mm layer)
- Accepts ink from an inspector's approval stamp within 20 seconds of application
- Self-extinguishing dry film; does not support fungus growth
- Shore A hardness 97–99 after 24 hours; crumbles easily when flexed or twisted
- No corrosion on steel, aluminium, brass or silver
- Withstands 93 °C for 72 hours without loss of adhesion
