3M EC-2216 B/A

3M Scotch-Weld EC-2216 B/A is a flexible, two-part, room-temperature-curing epoxy adhesive with high peel and shear strength.

Features:

• Modified epoxy base with modified amine accelerator
• Bonds metals, wood, plastics, rubber and masonry
• Resists shock, vibration and flexing; suited to cryogenic applications and thermal cycling
• Available in Gray, Tan NS (non-sag) and Translucent versions

Typical Properties:

• Mix ratio (Gray/Tan NS): 5:7 by weight, 2:3 by volume (Translucent 1:1)
• Work life (100 g at 75°F): 90 min Gray/Tan NS; 120 min Translucent
• Full cure (Gray/Tan NS): 7 days at 75°F, 120 min at 150°F or 30 min at 200°F
• Overlap shear on etched aluminium at 75°F: 3,200 psi Gray; 2,500 psi Tan NS; 1,700 psi Translucent
• Service temperature: tested to 300°F sustained, 350°F transient
• Shelf life: 24 months at 60–80°F in unopened containers
