3M Scotch-Weld Nitrile High Performance Rubber & Gasket Adhesive EC-847 is a quick-drying contact adhesive that provides a strong, flexible bond to metal, wood, most plastics and rubber. It has high immediate strength and excellent heat, fuel and oil resistance.
Features
- Medium viscosity (1,500–3,200 cP) for brush or flow application
- Heat resistance 121 °C cured, 71 °C uncured
- Bond range up to 15 minutes (10 mil wet film, two surfaces)
- Can be heat cured (e.g. 40 min at 115 °C) for higher ultimate performance
- Dark brown; nitrile rubber base in acetone

- Bonding rubber gaskets
- Bonding metal, wood, most plastics and rubber
Notes
- Can be solvent (MEK) or heat (min. 82 °C) reactivated. Apply at 18 °C or above.
