LOCTITE® GRD AA™ (LOCTITE® 089™) is a high strength, one-component, anaerobic threadlocker used to lock and seal fine threaded nuts, bolts and studs. It is a green, low viscosity dimethacrylate ester liquid that fluoresces under UV light. It is also used to seal porosity in welds, castings and powdered metal parts. It is tested to the lot requirements of Mil-S-22473E (regional approval); each lot produced in North America is tested to the requirements of ASTM D5363.

- Dielectric breakdown strength 9.8 kV/mm
Resistance (300 hours at 93 °C, % of initial strength)
- Motor oil and phosphate ester 100%; water 110%
Use and Storage
- On inactive metals or where cure is too slow, use Activator 7471™ or 7649™
- Not recommended for pure oxygen or oxygen rich systems or with chlorine and other strong oxidizers; may stress crack thermoplastics
- If hand tools do not work, heat the fastener to about 250 °C for disassembly
- Store at 8–21 °C in a dry location in unopened containers
