Hernon® Voice Coil Bonder 360 is a single component, black, heat cure adhesive formulated for bonding and coating voice coil components and for high temperature lamination. The cured bond withstands temperatures exceeding 316 °C. It offers excellent resistance to high temperature, chemicals and water, and gives a flexible, thermal shock resistant bond. It is used to coat aluminium, copper-clad and copper wire coils, and form materials including Kapton, fiberglass composite, aluminium and Nomex.
Typical Properties
- Nitrile phenolic base; black liquid in MEK solvent; viscosity (25 °C) 4000–6000 cP
- Specific gravity 0.94; solid content 31–39%
- Disc shear strength (SAE J840): 2500–4500 lb at 22 °C, 500–1500 lb at 204 °C
Use and Storage
- A minimum cure cycle of 30 minutes at 204 °C is recommended; remove with MEK before cure
- Store at 4–16 °C in a cool, dry place in unopened containers
