LOCTITE 220 is a one-component, low-strength, low-viscosity anaerobic threadlocker for fasteners requiring normal disassembly with standard hand tools. By capillary action it wicks between engaged threads, eliminating the need to disassemble before application, and it can also fill porosity in welds, castings and powdered metal parts.

- Blue liquid, fluorescent under UV light; viscosity 20 mPa·s
- Full cure in 24 h at 23 °C or 1 h at 93 °C
- Breakaway torque 9.7 N·m, prevail torque 19 N·m after 24 h (3/8 x 16 steel)
Applications
- Pre-assembled fasteners (wicking application)
- Adjustment and set screws, small or long-engagement fasteners
- Sealing porosity in welds, castings and powdered metal parts
Notes
- Not normally recommended on plastics (stress cracking risk).
