Epocast 50-A1 Resin / Hardener 9816 is an unfilled, solvent-free, easy-to-handle epoxy laminating system for the manufacture or repair of composite structures and for filament winding. It is flame retardant and qualified to BMS 8-201, Type III, Rev. F.

- Mixed viscosity 2,400 cP at 25 °C; gel time 65 min (100 g, 25 °C)
- Cure: 5 days at 25 °C, or gel at room temperature + 2 hours at 77–93 °C
- Lap shear strength 5,690 psi at 25 °C (ASTM D1002)
- Hardness 87 Shore D; Tg (DMA tan δ peak) 83 °C
- Meets FAR 25.853(a) vertical burn tests (12 s and 60 s)

Notes
- Material temperature should be above 18 °C when mixing; mix only what can be applied within several minutes to avoid excessive exotherm.
- Shelf life: 1 year from shipment, stored dry at 2–40 °C in the original sealed container.
