3M Nitrile High Performance Plastic Adhesive 1099 is a light tan, nitrile rubber-based solvent adhesive for vinyl and many plastics.
Features:
- Medium viscosity for brush or flow application; fast drying
- Strong, flexible bonds
- Resists weathering, water, fuels, oil and plasticizers
- Bonding range up to 40 minutes (10 mil wet film)
- May stain light-coloured vinyls; not recommended for polyolefins
Applications:
- Vinyl extrusions, sheeting, fabrics, foams and many plastics
Typical Properties:
- Base: nitrile rubber
- Solvent: acetone
- Viscosity: 2,000–4,000 cP at 27°C
- Solids: 31–37% by weight
- Flash point: -15°C
- Tested service range: -34°C to +93°C; heat curable up to 204°C (400°F)
- Shelf life: 24 months from manufacture at 16–27°C
