Ardrox® 185L is a highly alkaline concentrated solution in water containing sequestrants. It is also available as a powder under the name Ardrox® 185. Ardrox® 185L is primarily for removing heavy rust and sediment from ferrous components in immersion tanks, but can also remove oil, grease and some air dried paints. . It does not attack or cause hydrogen embrittlement in ferrous alloys and has less tendency to rust than acid pickling. When used in conjunction with other sufficient Ardrox® specialties, Ardrox® 185L can be used to remove sludge from hot-end jet engine components. It can also be used for cleaning parts made of titanium.
Applications:
Application Ardrox® 185L is generally used at a concentration of 30-50% by volume in water, depending on the amount of rust or lime to be removed. This corresponds to a concentration of 200 - 375 g / L Ardrox® 185 in water. Ardrox® 185 should always be dissolved in cold water. It will be an exothermic reaction and the solution will heat to 50-60 ° C / 120-140 ° F.
