Beta BT-69 Cleaner is a penetrant remover and cleaner spray for non-destructive testing (NDT) (Type 1 and 2, Class 2, Method C). It is used for pre-cleaning and penetrant removal in the detection of surface-breaking discontinuities and is suitable for all Type 1 and Type 2 penetrant applications. It dries quickly without residue. It can be applied to all metals, synthetic plastics, ceramics and glass; on castings, forgings, welds, pressure vessels, metalworking, automotive parts, tubular products, leak testing, ferrous and non-ferrous metals and non-porous ceramics.
Use
- For pre-cleaning, apply to the test surface from 25–30 cm; wipe with a clean cloth or allow to air dry
- For penetrant removal, apply the product to a cloth and wipe; do not spray directly onto the surface
