PPG CA 1000 Mastinox is a non-curing, non-chromate corrosion inhibitive jointing compound. Service temperature is −54 to 116 °C, with intermittent excursions up to 135 °C. It is an effective barrier against the common causes of corrosion on aluminium alloys and between dissimilar metals, and remains permanently mastic after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline. It is a one-part, epoxy capped Permapol® polysulfide, a thixotropic paste applied by brush or spatula. Tests are run to AIMS 04-05-005.

- Flash point 29 °C (closed cup); insoluble in water
- After 1000 hours dry heat at 115 °C easy removal, still tacky
- Weight gain after 7 days at 49 °C: JRF 1.80%, MIL-H-5606 0.50%, de-icing fluid 1.20%
- Galvanic cell test: no corrosion on aluminium coupled with titanium, stainless steel and cadmium plated steel after 2 weeks
