PPG CA 1010 Mastinox is a non-curing, non-chromate corrosion inhibitive jointing compound. Service temperature is −54 to 160 °C. It is an effective barrier against the common causes of corrosion on aluminium alloys and between dissimilar metals, and remains permanently mastic after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline. It is a one-part polyester compound, a thixotropic paste applied by brush or spatula; no mixing is required.
