Corrosion Preventives

Corrosion preventive compounds organised by film type: water-displacing and penetrating compounds, soft film, hard film and waxy compounds, and preservative oils for storage. Brands include Zip-Chem, Castrol (Brayco and Braycote), Ardrox, Royco and Tectyl; MABAYCO is an authorised distributor for Zip-Chem and Castrol Aviation. Water-displacing compounds penetrate joints and tight gaps to drive out moisture. Soft films are used between maintenance intervals; hard and waxy films give longer-term and outdoor protection. In aviation, selection usually follows specifications such as MIL-PRF-81309, MIL-PRF-16173 and MIL-PRF-32033 or the maintenance documentation. TDS and SDS are on each product page.
