Ardrox® 1900D is a new generation, heavy duty, thixotropic alkaline cleaner for the exterior and interior cleaning of aircraft and ground handling equipment. It can also be used as an engine decarbonizer, for component cleaning and for removing corrosion inhibiting compounds (CICs). It is a liquid concentrate consisting of biodegradable surfactants, alkaline additives and corrosion inhibitors.

Typical Properties
- Viscous, white to pale yellow liquid; density (20 °C) 1.03 g/ml; pH approx. 11.4
Application
- General exterior washing: dilute to 10–20% with water, spray on, agitate if necessary and rinse with water
- For heavy soils such as gear wells, flaps, nacelles and thrust reversers use as received with 5–10 min dwell time
- Interior cleaning: dilute to 5–10%; decarbonizing: usually 50% for immersion and 10% for spray, heated up to 65 °C if necessary
- Used as prescribed, it causes no significant corrosion on steel, aluminium, magnesium, copper and cadmium plating, does not harm paint, and causes no hydrogen embrittlement of high-strength steel or stress corrosion cracking of titanium
