ARDROX 6367 is a liquid concentrate consisting of an aqueous blend of biodegradable surfactants and corrosion inhibitors. It is intended for in situ washing of gas turbine engine compressor sections to remove atmospheric soils, carbon and oils, maintaining engine efficiency and reducing maintenance and fuel costs. It is suited for both hot-fired and cold motor-over washes.
Use
- Dilute 1 part ARDROX 6367 with 4 parts demineralised water and apply with suitable spraying equipment; pressure and flow depend on engine type and level of fouling
- Always refer to the engine/airframe manufacturer's manuals for specific procedures
- After the wash, rinse the engine with demineralised water and protect it with a water-displacing fluid unless it is to be used immediately; if no rinse is required, corrosion protection is assured for up to three days
Effects on Materials and Typical Properties
- When used as recommended it is non-corrosive to gas turbine engine materials, airframe alloys and paint schemes; it will not craze or discolour PMMA or cause hydrogen embrittlement
- Clear, pale straw coloured mobile liquid; density (20 °C) 1.02 g/ml; pH 7.7
- Equipment and tanks can be constructed of 316 or 320 stainless steel
