Aliphatic naphtha is an aliphatic naphtha solvent available in two types, defined to TT-N-95B. Type I is for organic coatings and Type II is for cleaning acrylic plastics. Specified types of organic paints and coatings are thinned up to 10% by volume with Type I; acrylic plastics are cleaned with Type II. The use of other thinners may cause the coating to blister and fish eye and the acrylic plastics to degrade.
