Cor-Ban 22

Zip-Chem® Cor-Ban® 22 is a long lasting, water displacing corrosion inhibiting compound (CIC); its formula is based on Cor-Ban® 27L and it leaves a soft, self healing coating. Its highly penetrating formula delivers the corrosion protection of Cor-Ban® 27L into faying surfaces. It can be applied to corroded areas to stop further corrosion, and gives additional barrier protection to corrosion prone internal steel bores of horizontal pivot shafts and landing gear bogies. The film is detectable, non-sagging and solvent removable. It is a preferred CIC for routine maintenance. It is applied by airless or air-operated spray equipment or by aerosol; a 25 micron wet film gives the intended protection.
