MOLYKOTE® Metal Protector Plus is a wax solution based protective coating used for the corrosion protection of metal parts that have to be stored or transported. It contains synthetic wax, corrosion inhibitor and solvent (white spirit), leaves a transparent film and has a low coefficient of friction. It contains no intentional PTFE or PFAS. As it is compatible with common lubricants, there is usually no need to wash off the film before using the equipment.

- Transparent; density (20 °C) 0.84 g/ml (ISO 2811); flash point 28 °C
- Coefficient of friction (press-fit test) µ = 0.12
- Salt spray test 510 hours (ISO/R 1456)
Use and Storage
- Apply to cleaned surfaces by dipping, spraying or painting; drying time at room temperature about 90 min
- Several coats can be applied for enhanced protection, letting them dry in between; thin and clean with white spirit
- 24 months from production at or below 20 °C in the original unopened containers
