Hernon® Dripstop® 944 is a single-component anaerobic compound designed for locking and sealing metal tapered threads and fittings. It cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration.

Typical Properties
- Chemical type: dimethacrylate ester; brown liquid, fluorescent under UV
- Viscosity at 25 °C: 1500–2500 cP; specific gravity 1.18
- Temperature range: -55 to 150 °C (-65 to 300 °F)
- Prevailing torque after 24 h (ISO 10964, 3/8-24 grade 2): 1.1–2.8 N·m
- Single component, no shrinkage or cracking from solvent evaporation
Quality / Notes
- Each batch tested to MIL-S-22473E Grade HVV and ASTM D5363 (AN0163)
- Not recommended for pure oxygen or oxygen-rich systems
- Store at 7–29 °C (45–85 °F) in unopened containers
