Eastman Turbo Oil 2389 is a low viscosity synthetic gas turbine oil with excellent cold-start capability. Many large commercial airlines use it in their auxiliary power units (APUs) because of the reliable starting it gives after long cold soaks at altitude. Formulated from synthetic base stocks and advanced additives, it combines the thermal and oxidation stability of commercial Type II lubricants with the low temperature fluidity of a 3 cSt oil.
