Hernon Gasket Replacer 910 is a single component, room temperature cure, gel-like anaerobic gasketing compound formulated to provide instant sealing. Once cured between mating metal flanges and filling voids in the surface, it provides a thin, flexible, solvent and temperature resistant seal. It shows no shrinkage due to solvent evaporation and eliminates the need for retorquing.

- Vacuum pump flanges; fuel and water pumps; gearbox covers; automotive and truck axle covers
Typical Properties
- Resin: methacrylate ester; appearance: purple liquid
- Temperature range: -65 to 300 °F
- Lap-shear strength (ISO 4587, grit blasted steel): 24 hours at 22 °C ≥6.0 N/mm² (870 psi)
- Tensile strength (ISO 6922, grit blasted steel, 24 hours at 22 °C): ≥14.0 N/mm² (2030 psi)
Application
- Surfaces should be clean and free from grease
- Designed for close fitting flanged parts with gaps up to 0.25 mm
- Apply manually as a continuous bead or by screen printing to one surface of the flanges
- Not recommended for pure oxygen or oxygen rich systems, chlorine or other strong oxidizing materials
Cure
- Cure speed depends on the substrate, bondline gap and ambient temperature; Hernon EF Primer 49 or EF Primer 50 improves cure speed
Packaging and Shelf Life
- Store in a cool, dry location in unopened containers between 7–29 °C (45–85 °F)
