Hernon® Gasket Replacer 916 is a single-component, room-temperature-curing, gel-like anaerobic gasketing compound formulated to provide instant sealing. Once cured between mating metal flanges, filling voids in the surface, it provides a thin, flexible, solvent- and temperature-resistant seal. It can replace or be used as a dressing for conventional gaskets.

Cured Performance (24 hours at 22 °C)
- Shear strength (ISO 4587, grit-blasted steel) 7.5 N/mm² (1100 psi)
- Compressive shear strength (ISO 10123) ≥5.0 N/mm² (≥725 psi); tensile strength (ISO 6922) ≥8.5 N/mm² (≥1200 psi)
- Where cure speed is too slow or gaps are large, use EF Primer 49 or 50
