Hernon® Instantbond 117 is a high viscosity, single component, solventless, room temperature curing cyanoacrylate adhesive. It polymerizes rapidly when pressed into a thin film between parts, with surface moisture starting the cure; it develops handling strength within seconds and full functional strength in a few hours. It bonds metals, thermoplastics, elastomers, ceramics, leather, cork and paper, and is particularly suited to wire tacking applications. It is not recommended for long-term glass to glass bonding.

- Fixture time (22 °C, 50% relative humidity): steel 20–50 s, aluminium 10–30 s, neoprene and nitrile rubber under 5 s
- Shear strength (ISO 4587, 24 hours): grit-blasted steel at least 15.2 N/mm²
- Dielectric strength 25 kV/mm

- Store refrigerated for extended shelf life; warm to room temperature before opening
