Krytox 240 AC

Krytox™ 240 AC is a perfluoropolyether (PFPE) oil based, fuel- and oxidizer-resistant aircraft and instrument grease. Krytox oils and greases are chemically inert, non-flammable and safe for use in oxygen service; they are silicone free, do not damage plastics or elastomers and do not cause corrosion to metals. In aerospace they are used from bearings and sealants to O-rings and oxygen systems. Krytox 240 AC, 240 AB and 240 AZ Grade 1 greases have NSF H-1 approval for incidental food contact. Rust preventive oils in new bearings should be removed before using Krytox.

• Evaporation (ASTM D 2595, 204 °C, 22 hours) 0.2%; oil separation (204 °C, 30 hours) 15.5% by weight; solubility in fuel 0.1%
• Base oil viscosity (40 °C) 243 cSt; no reaction in liquid oxygen impact test; passes E595 test

Storage

• Indefinite shelf life if unopened and stored in a clean, dry location
