LOCTITE 274 is a one-component, medium-strength anaerobic threadlocker designed for locking and sealing threaded fasteners that require normal disassembly with standard hand tools. It cures when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration.
Features
- Blue liquid, fluorescent under UV light; viscosity 80–150 mPa·s
- Breakaway torque 8–24 N·m after 24 h (M10 black oxide bolts, steel nuts)
- Breakloose torque 18–38 N·m (pre-torqued to 5 N·m)
- Cure speed improved with activators 7471 or 7649

- Locking and sealing threaded fasteners subject to shock and vibration
Notes
- Not recommended for pure oxygen or oxygen-rich systems or on thermoplastics. Store at 8–21 °C.
