LOCTITE ABLESTIK 55 is an unfilled, low-viscosity, general purpose epoxy with good wetting and good chemical, solvent and water resistance. It bonds glass, ceramic, metals, plastics and wood and is cured with LOCTITE CAT 9 (room temperature), CAT 11 (heat cure) or CAT 23LV (room temperature, low colour).

- With CAT 9: 100 : 13.5 by weight; work life 45 min; operating -40 to +130 °C
- With CAT 11: 100 : 16 by weight; work life > 4 h; operating -55 to +155 °C
- With CAT 23LV: 100 : 28 by weight; work life 60 min; operating -65 to +105 °C

- Cure with CAT 9: 16–24 h at 25 °C or 1–2 h at 65 °C

- Electronic component assembly and staking
- Tamper-proofing of adjustment and calibration screws
- Anchoring inserts, end filling and hermetic sealing
