PPG LR8123ZP is a two pack anti-fret primer based on an etch primer with the addition of molybdenum disulphide. It is designed to prevent fretting corrosion between metallic joints under stress and vibration and is recommended for use with aluminium alloys. It offers corrosion inhibiting properties, dries rapidly and is REACH compliant. One or more wet coats give an opaque, dark, even coating; once thoroughly dried it may be burnished to a close tolerance.

- Induction time 15 min; pot life 4 hours at 21–25 °C
- Recommended dry film thickness 4–8 µm; theoretical coverage 14 m²/L at 6 µm
- Application conditions 15–35 °C, relative humidity 30–85%
Drying (23 °C, 75% RH)
- Dry to touch 20 min; dry to handle 45 min; dry to mask 2 hours
- Before overcoat or jointing compound at least 1 hour, at most 24 hours; full cure 7 days

- Store at 5–35 °C; base and catalyst 24 months, thinners 10 months in unopened containers
