Zip-Chem® Aero-Lube D-5480NS is an aerosol dry film lubricant made from a colloidal graphite dispersion in a thermoplastic resin. It dries rapidly at room temperature and produces an extremely tenacious dry film of fine particle size graphite on the surface to be lubricated. It contains no grease, wax or silicone. The film withstands continuous temperatures of 204 °C and up to 454 °C for limited periods, and it has strong properties for plating non-conductors. It is used on bearings, chains, gears, pistons, locks, hoists, conveyor components, O-rings, gaskets and flat leaf springs. It can be used with Formit® extensions for targeted spraying of hard-to-reach areas; the bulk version is ZC-480.
