Sandstrom Poxylube® CP-200 (CP-LUBE) is an air-drying aerosol dry film lubricant. It lubricates without the dust and debris pick-up associated with oils or liquid lubricants; the dry film clings to all metallic and non-metallic surfaces and is not affected by water or normal temperature fluctuations. It dries clear, does not drip or stain, gives a low coefficient of friction, prevents seizure and resists wear. Approved for Medeco® locks.
Typical Uses
- On locks, hinges, latches, pins, sliding surfaces, valves, seals, rollers, levers and threaded connections
- To resist corrosion, water, dust and dirt build-up; to extend component life
- To prevent seizure and allow tighter threaded joints with the same torque and easier disassembly; as a release agent for moulding rubber and plastic parts
Typical Properties
- Lubricating pigment: fluorotelomer dispersion; colour: colourless
- Cure 1–3 minutes (25 °C ± 3 °C, ≤70% RH); no force cure required
- Operating temperature −73 to 177 °C (−100 to +350 °F); not for surfaces that may exceed 299 °C (570 °F)
- Coverage: about 3 sq ft per can at 0.25 mil dry film; clean up with isopropyl alcohol
Limitations and Storage
- Not for use where food contact is possible or on walking surfaces
- Store below 38 °C (100 °F); shelf life 2 years from shipment
