MOLYKOTE G-n Metal Assembly Paste is a multipurpose, heavy-duty lubricating paste containing a blend of molybdenum disulfide and white solid lubricants in mineral oil. It helps prevent galling during run-in, extends the service life of moving parts and protects against fretting wear, corrosion and welding of static joints.

- Low coefficient of friction (0.08, press-fit test)
- Four-ball weld load 499 kg; wear scar 0.76 mm
- Service temperature: solid lubricant -18 °C to +399 °C, base oil -18 °C to +121 °C
- Grey-black, buttery paste; no intentional PTFE or PFAS
Applications
- Running-in of gears, splines, journal bearings, cams and ways
- Assembly of threaded fasteners: lower tightening torque and easier disassembly
- Press fitting without chatter or stick-slip
- Metalworking: stamping, drawing, tube bending, thread rolling, cold heading, forging
- Bearing shafts, bushings and splines against fretting and cold welding
