KLINGER®flon Spray (KF-500) is a TFE based separating, anti-seizing and lubricating agent dispersed in CHC- and HCFC-exempt solvents. After the solvent evaporates, a thin white TFE coating bound by a bonding agent remains. This coating has a separating and anti-adhesive effect, is temperature resistant up to 265 °C, is practically chemically inert and resistant to acids, alkalis and solvents, is physiologically compatible and self-lubricating at low friction coefficients. As a CHC-, HCFC- and silicone-exempt separating agent it is used for plastics, elastomers (rubber) and adhesives, and assists de-moulding in extrusion, laminating and compression moulding. Coated parts present no problems in subsequent printing, metalizing, bonding or varnishing. It is used in industry, workshops and domestic areas wherever grease-free, dry and non-contaminating lubrication is required.
Application
- The surface must be completely dry and free of grease, oil and repellent substances
- Apply only in thin layers; build up thicker coatings in several separate layers, allowing each to cure
- Do not expose the applied coating to naked flames or glowing embers; ensure good ventilation
