Royco 22CF

ROYCO 22CF is a chromate-free, wide-temperature, multi-purpose synthetic grease with an inorganic gel thickener.

Features:

• High viscosity index synthetic PAO base oil
• Additives for oxidation and corrosion resistance, rust protection and load carrying
• Film protection at elevated temperatures and low start-up resistance at low temperatures
• Water resistance and shock load protection; extended relubrication intervals

Applications:

• Aircraft wheel bearings, anti-friction and rotor bearings
• Instruments, gearboxes, actuators and airframe systems
• General-purpose industrial applications requiring a wide-temperature grease

Specifications / Approvals:

• Qualified to MIL-PRF-81322
• May be used in place of superseded or cancelled MIL-G-23827, MIL-G-24508 and MIL-G-25013

• Appearance: Smooth brown grease
• Operating temperature: -54°C to +121°C (-65°F to +250°F)
• Worked penetration at 25°C (ASTM D217): 265–295
• Dropping point (ASTM D2265): 500°F
• 4-ball wear (ASTM D4172): 0.5 mm
• Oil separation (30 h at 177°C): 2.0%
• Evaporation loss (ASTM D972, 22 h at 177°C): 2.5%
• Rust protection (48 h at 125°F): Pass
