Castrol Aero 35 is a MIL-PRF-6083F based, ISO Grade 15 mineral hydraulic fluid with anti-wear and corrosion-inhibiting properties, developed for aircraft landing gear shock struts.
Features:
- Viscosity index improver, anti-oxidants and EP additive system
- Reduces the stick-slip characteristics of MIL-PRF-6083F fluids
- Minimises martensitic streaking of landing gear cylinders and galling of shock strut bearings
- Compatible with most seals, hoses and paints used in shock strut applications
- Available in red (dyed) and straw/yellow (undyed) versions
Applications:
- Aircraft landing gear shock struts
- Compatible with MIL-PRF-5606H and MIL-PRF-6083F hydraulic fluids and with petroleum-based and synthesised hydrocarbon lubricants
- Not fully compatible with synthetic gas turbine lubricants or phosphate-ester hydraulic fluids
