MS-143TE

MS-143TE is a non-flammable, non-ozone-depleting release agent and dry lubricant containing a suspension of low molecular weight PTFE fluoropolymers, developed as an efficient, economical and universal release agent. It offers enhanced release agent durability and adhesion, consistent release of molded parts and a low coefficient of friction, and is non-migrating and non-staining. As a dry lubricant it minimizes slip-stick and suits low speed, light load applications. It is used with plastics, rubbers, resins, phenolics, acrylics, polycarbonates, urethanes, polystyrene, nylons and elastomers and comes in concentrations of 1–10% PTFE.

Use

• Clean the mold surface mechanically, then chemically; remove all previous release agent
• Mix the product before and continuously during use; spray "wet" with fine mist equipment onto a mold surface below 50 °C; allow the solvent to evaporate completely before molding
• For a fused coating, heat the surface to 305–316 °C and hold for 5–10 min
