ZL-27A is a Level 3 high sensitivity, Type 1 post-emulsifiable fluorescent penetrant designed for inspections requiring high process control and reliability, such as safety-critical aerospace testing. As it is not water soluble, there is minimal risk of it being removed from fine or shallow defects through over-washing. It has a high flash point and long tank life in open dip tanks and can be applied by a variety of methods including electrostatic spray. Surface penetrant is removed before developer with ZE-4E Method B lipophilic or ZR-10E Method D hydrophilic emulsifier. High UV and thermal stability give clear, bright indications; it has low odour and very low toxicity.
