ZYGLO® ZR-10C is a hydrophilic emulsifier used, diluted in water, as the remover/emulsifier in post-removable penetrant systems. It is designed to reduce fluorescent background from penetrants on rough surfaces and to reduce bleed-out of penetrant from hollow parts. Because it works only with rinse water, the process is less susceptible to human error. It is used for inspecting castings, turbine components and critical components for surface-open defects such as cracks, seams and porosity. It is a blend of emulsifying agents and is biodegradable.

Use
- Immersion: normally at 5–20% concentration; after penetrant, spray with water for 15–30 s, immerse the part normally for 30–120 s, drain and rinse with water
- Spray: usually 0.1–0.5%, up to 5% depending on the application
- Agitate the bath regularly; monitor concentration with a refractometer
