MAGNAGLO® MG 601 is a powder concentrate used to prepare fluorescent inks for high sensitivity, wet method magnetic particle testing. It consists of fluorescent pigment and magnetic iron oxide. It gives clear, bright yellow/green indications in a darkened area under UV(A) of 365 nm peak wavelength, with low background fluorescence. It has very good particle mobility and dispersion, an optimised particle size distribution and durable particles. It is the top-up for MAGNAGLO® MF-655 WB ink concentrate. It is used to detect very fine to fine surface and slightly subsurface discontinuities such as inclusions, seams, shrink cracks, tears, laps, welding defects and grinding, quenching and fatigue cracks; in critical applications, on machined and smooth parts and in in-service inspections.
