Hernon® Nuts N’ Bolts® 223 is a single-component, high-strength anaerobic compound used to lock and seal coarse-threaded nuts, bolts and studs in a wide variety of applications.

- Replaces fastener locking devices of all kinds

Typical Properties
- Chemical type: dimethacrylate ester; red liquid, fluorescent
- Viscosity at 25 °C: 1000–2500 cP; specific gravity 1.10
- Temperature range: -55 to 150 °C (-65 to 300 °F); gap filling max. 0.01 in
- Prevailing torque after 24 h (3/8-24 grade 2): 11.3–28.2 N·m; cure can be accelerated with Hernon Primer 49
- Single component, no shrinkage or cracking from solvent evaporation
Quality / Notes
- Each batch tested to A-A-59720 Grade AVV, MIL-S-22473E Grade AVV and ASTM D5363 (AN0124)
- Not recommended for pure oxygen or oxygen-rich systems
- Store at 7–29 °C (45–85 °F) in unopened containers
