NYCO GREASE GN 05

Nyco Grease GN 05 is a heavy duty NLGI 2 aircraft grease based on a high viscosity mineral oil thickened by clay. It has good resistance to water washout and excellent load carrying capacity. Its typical operating temperature range is −18 to 149 °C. It is used for heavy duty wheel bearings, wheels, starter magnetos and generators, and military automotive components (truck electric retarder TELMA). It should not be used below −15 °C without a warm-up period at idle/low speed to allow the grease to soften and circulate into the bearing parts. It can be technically replaced by Nyco Grease GN 22 (MIL-PRF-81322) or GN 3058 (SAE-AMS-3058).
