NYETACT 571H-10 is a 10% dispersion of a perfluoroether lubricant in a perfluoroalkane solvent. It is used for electric connectors and sliding electrical contacts where low contact force, electrical arcing or airborne contamination of traditional grease are a problem. It is thickened with silica; after the solvent evaporates, a thin lubricant film remains.
Typical Properties of the Oil
- Recommended service range −54 to 250 °C; base oil perfluoropolyether
- Kinematic viscosity 45 cSt at 100 °C, 150 cSt at 40 °C, 4300 cSt at −40 °C
- Viscosity index 340; flash point none, non-flammable; pour point −65 °C
- Density (25 °C) 1.88 g/cm³; evaporation (150 °C, 24 hours) below 0.01%
Typical Properties of the Solvent
- Perfluoroalkane; 90% by weight; evaporation rate (25 °C) 0.19 g/cm²/hr
