F69 is a chromate-free, three component, water reducible epoxy topcoat with direct adhesion. It offers good corrosion protection and excellent chemical resistance. It is used to protect mountings and sealants and as a corrosion resistant primer for certain structural parts. It can be applied to all types of assemblies, including aluminium alloys and titanium. Components: F69 base, F69 hardener/catalyst and water to AIMS 09-00-003 Grade C.

Application Properties (spray)
- Mix by volume: base 2, hardener 1, water 2.7–3.3; by weight base 100, hardener 37, water 90–110
- No induction time; pot life 8 hours (3.3 V dilution); application at 15–35 °C, relative humidity 20–85%
- Dry film 20–30 µm, wet film 70–100 µm; theoretical coverage 29.5 m²/L at 20 µm; gloss 80 GU at 60°
- VOC 160 g/L (ISO 11890-1), 340 g/L (ASTM D3960)
Drying
- 23 °C: dust free 15 min; recoatable 25 min–168 hours; fully cured 3 days
- Full cure 2 hours at 60 °C; 35 min at 80 °C
Storage and Packaging
- Base and hardener 18 months at 5–35 °C in full, sealed original packaging; touch-up kits 12 months
