LOCTITE® SF 7800™ (known as LOCTITE® 7800™) is a solvent based spray coating containing zinc and aluminium in resin. It dries by solvent evaporation and forms a corrosion resistant layer on ferrous surfaces at room temperature. Typical applications are touch-up after welding, long term protection of metal assemblies and re-protection of repaired galvanized parts (barriers, pipes, flanges, tanks, panels). Its service temperature range is −50 to 550 °C.

- Grey aluminium; density (20 °C) 0.894 g/mL; viscosity (20 °C) 0.6 cSt; propellant propane/butane
- Drying time (20 °C) 2–5 min; overpaintable 24 hours after drying (30 µm film)
- Salt spray test (DIN 53210, 290 hours) Ri 0
Use and Storage
- Shake the can well; spray an even layer onto a clean, dry surface from 20–30 cm
- Not for use in pure oxygen or oxygen rich systems or with chlorine or strong oxidizing materials
- Extremely flammable; store unopened in a dry place at 8–21 °C
