Humiseal 1B31

HumiSeal® 1B31 is a fast drying, single component acrylic conformal coating that provides moisture and environmental protection for printed circuit assemblies. It has excellent flexibility, fluoresces under UV light for ease of inspection and is easily repaired. It is MIL-I-46058C qualified and IPC-CC-830 and RoHS 2002/95/EC compliant.

Typical Properties

• Density 0.91 ± 0.02 g/cm³; solids 35 ± 3% by weight; viscosity 200 ± 15 cP; VOC 592 g/L
• Drying time to handle 10 min; recommended coating thickness 25–75 µm
• Cure 24 hours at room temperature or 30 min at 76 °C; optimum properties in 7 days
• Thermal shock (MIL-I-46058C, 50 cycles) −65 to 125 °C; Tg 14 °C
• Dielectric breakdown voltage 7500 V; dielectric constant (1 MHz) 2.5; insulation resistance 8.0 x 10¹⁴ ohm; self-extinguishing

Application and Storage

• Surfaces must be free of moisture, dirt, wax, grease, flux residues and other contaminants
• HumiSeal Thinner 503 for dipping and brushing, Thinner 521 or 521EU for spraying (1:1 by volume); stripper HumiSeal Stripper 1080
• Store at 0–35 °C in tightly closed containers; shelf life 24 months at room temperature; allow to equilibrate 24 hours at 18–32 °C before use
