PPG PR-1005-L is a Buna-N slosh coating for aircraft integral fuel tanks. Service temperature is −73 to 121 °C, with intermittent excursions up to 135 °C. It is designed as a topcoat or barrier coating, and the cured coating resists prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline. It is not recommended for fuels containing ethanol. It is a one part synthetic rubber solution, a thin syrup applied by brush, fill-and-drain, dip or spray. It cures at room temperature by solvent evaporation to a smooth, tough, flexible, transparent film with excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates and polysulfide sealants. Tests are run to AMS-S-4383 methods.
