PPG DeSoto® 519X303 is a high temperature epoxy primer that withstands operating temperatures up to 204 °C; it is used over aluminium and composite surfaces. It cures at room temperature and offers excellent adhesion, corrosion resistance and fluid resistance. It is compatible with all non-electrostatic spray equipment and can be applied in a wide range of conditions. Service temperature is −54 to 204 °C. Colour aluminized blue-green.

Application Properties
- Mix ratio by volume: 519X303 base 3, 910X357 activator 1, 020X324 thinner 2
- No induction time required; pot life 10 hours at 21–25 °C
- Recommended dry film thickness 25–50 µm; theoretical coverage 6.5 m²/L at 25 µm
- Application conditions 15–30 °C, relative humidity 20–90%
Drying (22–28 °C)
- Time between coats 30 min; dry to stack 4 hours; dry to overcoat 6–24 hours; full cure 14 days
- Accelerated cure: 30 min flash off, then 90–120 min at 121 °C
Storage
- Store at 5–35 °C; shelf life 12 months to most OEM specifications, 24 months to PRC-DeSoto standard
