PPG 0613/9000 is the activator for 4125 direct-adhesion epoxy coating. 4125 is a two-pack, direct-to-metal epoxy topcoat designed to protect fasteners used in aircraft assemblies, including all types of rivets, nuts and fasteners.

4125 System
- Mix ratio by volume: 4125 base 2 parts : 0613/9000 activator 1 part; 0580/9000 thinner to viscosity
- No induction time; pot life 8 hours at 21–25 °C (with 1 part thinner)
- Abrade with Scotch-Brite® and degrease with MEK; apply at 15–35 °C and 30–85% RH in 1–2 cross coats to 20–40 µm (0.8–1.6 mil)
- Colours: grey (4125/2047), light blue (4125/6407), green (4125/5171); semi-gloss (20–45 GU at 60°)
- Drying (23 °C): touch 30 min; handle 2 h; tape 3 h; full cure 7 days (3 h at 70 °C)

- VOC: 675 g/L; flash point <21 °C (70 °F)
- Shelf life: 24 months in original unopened container; store at 5–35 °C
