PPG Deft 03 Series are chemically cured polyurethane military topcoats for exterior use on aircraft and aerospace equipment. Over properly applied commercial or military primers they provide excellent protection against weathering, humidity and salt spray, and resist hydraulic fluids, lubricating oils, JP-5 fuel and water. Service temperature is −54 to 177 °C (−65 to 350 °F).

Mixing and Application
- Mix ratio by volume with 03CAT: 1:1 for gloss colours; 3:1 for semi-gloss and camouflage colours
- Pot life 4 hours; apply at 15–30 °C and 20–90% RH
- Two coats to 42–58 µm dry film; theoretical coverage 19.8–21.5 m²/L
- Thinner: IS-213 (MIL-DTL-81772 Type I) or IS-260
Drying Times
- Set to touch 6 hours; dry to tape 12 hours; full cure 14 days
- Forced dry: 45 min at 49 °C, 30 min at 60 °C, 20 min at 71 °C or 15 min at 82 °C
